Which Journal Size Should You Choose?

Which Journal Size Should You Choose?

What are your favourite journal sizes?

There are many different sizes to choose from, and it is important to choose the right size for yourself and for your thoughts. Because after all, you want a neat and tidy journal that is able to store all your ideas in the way you want. So let's compare all the sizes to help you find the ideal size.

 A4

This is the size of most notebooks and documents used for school and work. That means you can put some sheets of paper into the journal to carry around, but that also means the journal will take up quite some space in your backpack and it can be very heavy to carry around if it has many pages. You can fit a lot of words, stickers, and drawings onto one single page which is very convenient. Journals of this size are great for those who like to sit on a desk and write down lots of ideas.

B5/composition

This is also a common size for notebooks used for school and work. B5 journals are easier to carry and doesn't take up a lot of space in a backpack compared to A4. They also have a lot of room for those you who like long descriptions and want to fit all of your ideas onto one page so that you don't need to flip often. The best choice for those who likes to draw, stamp, and use stickers but don't want a journal that is too big.

A5

This is the most popular size . A5 journals are the very middle one that satisfy most people's needs. They can easily fit into most handbags and backpacks. They are also not too small for those of you who like to be expansive. You can also fit a decent amount drawings, stickers, and washi tapes onto one page. Great size for diaries and taking notes. The go to size for new journalers. (Our favourite too)

B6

The second most popular one. We feel like it is the best size in terms of carrying because B6 journals are not as big but have some weight. They are really great if you want to flip through your notes while on the bus, in a car or standing outside. They are also great for those who love to leave no margin on their pages.

A6

A6 journals can fit into almost all handbags and small backpacks. They can even fit into clothes with large pockets. Fantastic for those of you who like to do make lists, do little sketches, and jot down ideas that suddenly pop up while on the go. But they are not ideal for those of you who like to decorate and expand.

A7

The perfect size for those who don't like carrying bags. A7 journals can fit into most pockets, so you can just pull it out and start writing. They are Big enough to do small sketches and write down ideas on the go. Don't use A7 journals if you like to decorate your pages, they are just too small.
